Leicester City will continue their push for Premier League survival when they host fellow relegation battle Chelsea in Thursday’s Premier League match.
Chelsea finds itself in a precarious position after Sunday’s result against FA Cup semifinalist Huddersfield Town. Chelsea can still make the Champions League by finishing in the top four of the table but must close in on third-place Liverpool, who hold an eight-point advantage over the Blues.
Christian Atsu’s opener and goals from Pedro and Pedro Rodriguez were canceled out by Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante in the final 15 minutes of the match. Chelsea’s 2-2 tie with Huddersfield put it in the thick of three-way battle for third.
Leicester has gotten goals from Sebastian Coates, Islam Slimani and Wilfred Ndidi of late to its good fortunes. In turn, second-place Tottenham Hotspur has fallen from one position to four by losing its last two matches. Leicester and Southampton are seven points behind Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
